Review of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023) by Jefreestyles — 19 Feb 2023
It's the silliest Ant-Man movie, yet. I wasn't expecting a serious drama. Suspend your disbelief for a couple hours. Things can grow and shrink beyond your control so let loose and have a good time. It has its flaws though. A lot of plot shortcuts and blaise supporting characters. The 2 characters that stand out the most are Kang and MODOK. Steller performances from both of them. And I didn't mind the different CGI technique they chose. It was awesome and endearing. Anyways, I give this a low matinee but go out and watch it whenever you can.
Edit: a lot of reviews say the stakes should have felt higher. It is high but just like an ant trying to understand the world around itself, you cannot fathom the destruction of multiple universes in just 2 hours. That's why they designed the movie so it seems silly and curt.
