Review of Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018) by Nathan A — 25 Jul 2018
I have to admit I'm only half a fan of comic book movies. I loved The Avengers, the first one, Deadpool, the first one. The rest are sort of entertaining, but not in a got to see it sort of way. I really like the first Ant-Man.
It seemed to hang together in a very natural and funny way. Paul Rudd is a good comedic actor. The shrinking and unshrinking was a fresh take. This latest offering however, is over complicated. Walton Goggins is a great actor.
When he's playing a southern villain. But since he's the second villain, and the first one's not even that interesting, you start to lose attention. Michael Pena is very funny. But his screen time seems to be inserted randomly to provide comic relief.
Just let Paul Rudd do his Nice Guy funny thing. And let Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer do some acting, why don't we? But most people are enjoying it. And you probably will too.
