Review of Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018) by Fabio R — 18 Aug 2018
Underwhelming, the stakes weren't that high.
It relies too much on comedy, and most of the comedy pieces are not that funny.
Just a little stop between Infinity war, but nothing special or great in this one.
A missed opportunity to actually make the characters pick between rescuing Janet van Dyne or Ghost.
Even tho Ghost's story was sad, I never felt empaty for her, Hannah John-Kamen didnt sell me on the craracter's strugle, and she wasn't at all scary as a villain.
A weak villain in comparison with Black Phanter's Killmonger or Thanos from Infinity War.
Janet van Dyne Was another weak character, as I didn't seem to care if they saved her or not, for the whole movie.
Plus when she is finally saved, she is simply ok and even has a new super power, after spending more than 30 years stuck in the Quantum Realm, shouldn't she be a little bit crazy or something. Another missed oportunity to show conflict.
Janet is ok, super smart, and with make up on point, guess they had L'ORÉAL sellers in the Quantum Realm.
