A notable improvement over its predecessor in virtually every way. The movie is relentlessly fun, balancing the best comedy of the MCU thus far with better action that takes fuller advantage of its hero's gimmick.
The writing and pacing are very tight as well, and the final product is executed so well that the faults concerning character development are ultimately dismissible.
