Review of Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018) by Anthony B — 14 Jul 2018
Ant-man and the Wasp feels like Marvel Jr. A soulless, moronic, kiddy cash grab farted out just in time for summer. It's light, it's goodnatured, and it is painfully dull. I know it's a Disney production, but damn is it safe.
Two hours laters and I can't recall any language, sexuality, or violence, and the critical reviews are clearly bullshit. Fun and exciting my ass! There is literally no real action sequence until the bloated finale and the relentless cutesy dialogue comprised of rapid-fire one-liners that are all miss and no hit had me gagging.
The best thing I can say about Ant-man and the Wasp is that after seeing this lame "superhero" clusterfuck you will have a newfound appreciation for the first film, which let's be honest, wasn't all that deserving of a sequel anyway.
