Review of Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018) by Bill H — 14 Jul 2018
While on the surface the movie was fun, it did not come close to the recent quality of films being released into the MCU. While we have always accepted that the movies would not follow normal laws of physics Ant-Man and the Wasp go so far past the realm of realism while still trying to act logical that it makes the movie difficult to watch. Simple things like tilting a building full of fragile equipment on its side repeatedly having no impact on the inside of the building, to having survival in the quantum realm be a possibility. Character behaviors did not make sense and were not in the least creative, many tropes having been done over and over again. The final nail in the coffin was that apparently we have STILL not moved past marvel movies where the entire plot rides on lack of communication.
Overall: A disappointment.
