Funnier, more action packed and entertaining than its predecessor, Ant-Man And The Wasp is a sequel that raised the stakes of its 2015 predecessor while expanding the story in all the right places. Three years after the first film and two years after Captain America Civil War, Scott Lang is now a responsible father but is forced to stay on house arrest after helping Captain America fight Iron Man and the other faction of the Avengers during the accords.

He's suddenly forced to go back into becoming Ant-Man once again this time with the help of Hope Pym as the Wasp in order to save Hank's wife and Hope's long lost mother in the quantum realm, while they are being chased by Ava, who goes by the name of Ghost and is in a desperate situation to save her own skin and is slowly about to disintegrate.

I just finished watching this film with my mom and I love every single moment of it. I not only enjoyed it over the first Ant-Man film but also it is better than Avengers Infinity War. If Avengers Infinity War broke our hearts, left us in tears and made us feel shattered.

Ant-Man And The Wasp lighten our moods from start to finish. Its great to see how the Marvel Cinematic Universe does a good job to balance the light and dark side of comics; from what I can tell, Ant-Man And The Wasp made us feel the joy and humor go back at us after Infinity War left us in tears.

This explains why I prefer Marvel over DC always. Its nice to see what was going on with Ant-Man before Thanos vaporized half of humanity with just a snap of his finger and it answers the questions of his fate on why he did not show up in Infinity War but will appear in the upcoming follow-up next year.

This movie does a job in explaining how sequels works and it is one of Marvel's best efforts since Black Panther, Captain America The Winter Soldier and Civil War along with Spider-Man Homecoming.

One of the film's highlights is its humor, which all the Marvel films are known for, in this sequel the humor is funnier than last time. There are loads of funny jokes that will make you laugh and are fun to listen to while trying not to over use it always in key scenes where important details are explained.

The story is such a huge game changer from its predecessor. The CGI effects are just as fun as the action scenes. Meeting the returning characters is great and they are even more fun than before while also introducing new ones who are just as likable and believeable as the main characters and lastly, the film's true highlights are the characters of Luiz and Ava also known as Ghost.

What this sequel did is that the filmmakers made him funnier than before and his role is bigger than in the last film not only in terms of his hilarious storytelling moments which the first film is known for but also how he plays a huge part on the heroes' quest.

On the other hand, Ava or Ghost is one of Marvel's best villains in the Phase Three films since Eric Kilmonger from Black Panther, Adrian Toomes or The Vulture from Spider-Man: Homecoming and Helmut Zemo from Captain America Civil War.

What Marvel did here with their villain is that they made her not as a threatening type, but a more desperate type who has motivations for her actions and why she's doing it combined with a tragic backstory plus she's well portrayed by a talented and gorgeous actress at the same time.

The acting is so spot on this time, its good to see the returning cast like Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lily as the titular heroes. Its also good to see Michael Douglas as Hank Pym and I'm surprised that his role is bigger here than in the previous film.

The new cast like Michelle Pfeiffer and Laurence Fishburne as Janet Van Dyne and Goliath are both talented respectively. But the one who steals the show the most are Michael Pena and Hannah-John Kamen as Ant-Man's friend Lluiz and Ava, the antagonist in the story.

Michael Pena is funnier and believable in the best way here as he becomes the funniest character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since Turk Barrett from the Marvel Netflix shows. Director and Writer Peyton Reed did a good job with his work on this movie and he actually did a much better job here by doubling the execution of this film from its predecessor, he really set Marvel's bar to the highest level that is a huge step from the previous films thanks to how he understands the formula of the Marvel movies, we get a sequel that expands everything in the best way.

Overall Ant-Man And The Wasp is an entertaining game changer that does a great job in making improvements from its 2015 predecessor while also keeping Marvel's bar to the top and acts as another fun entry in the long running Marvel Cinematic Universe.

This movie gets an 11/10. Now I want to see what happens next to our favorite heroes in the upcoming Avengers Infinity War sequel.
