Review of Ant-Man (2015) by Abel D — 17 Aug 2016
It feels like a minor, small-scale yet successful Marvel film. The creators took the brilliantly original main idea and succeeded in its risky visualization. The screenwriting dream team delivers an agreeable script that might be far from riveting but combines a solid plot with character insight and good comic reliefs.
Paul Rudd is a pleasant hero and the trio of Peña, Dastmalchian and T.I. is an absolute riot. The couple of plot wtfs towards the end do deprive "Ant-Man" of greatness though.
