Review of Ant-Man (2015) by Alexander M — 18 Jun 2016
This was the last of the movies that I needed to catch up on before watching Civil War. And I thought it was fine. I didn't love it, I didn't hate it. It was just fine. Paul Rudd is a great choice for Scott Lang.
It was well cast overall. Michael Peña is a standout, but then again, when is he not? I'm not a fan of bugs in general, so I was a little worried about the whole ants everywhere thing, but it only skeeved me out once or twice.
The special effects are really cool, and the fights are really well choreographed, with the way he incorporates shrinking and enlarging into his fighting style. Overall, this is a middling entry into the MCU.
