Review of Ant-Man (2015) by Anna B — 03 Jul 2016

I found this movie mostly incoherent, in so many ways. From the plot and the action, right down to the stakes, conflict, and basic character motivation. And this isn't a complaint against Marvel movies, I've mostly enjoyed the previous ones.

The fears that I had when Wright was removed were realised; the whole thing became a bland incompetent mess in Reed's hands. The best part of this movie was the post-credits scene taken from Captain America; it was immediately obvious that Reed wasn't involved, because I suddenly cared about what was happening on-screen.
