Review of Ant-Man (2015) by Ilja S — 31 Oct 2016

WHAT I LIKE: I really liked Ant-Man. It's a charming, exciting and well-constructed little movie with a really nice feel. This surprised me after Edgar Wright's absence, but I think creative new direction, great performances and a lush visual style and score make it all possible. In the end you don't have to think about it too much - you can just sit back, relax and smile.

WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE: The plot is very simple, and thus it's not the most interesting film experience overall.

VERDICT: Marvel does it again: pulling off something that nobody thought would work. 'Ant Man' is a gripping and fun heist film that exceeded everyone's expectations.
