Review of Ant-Man (2015) by Cole M — 11 Jun 2017
Just like Guardians of the Galaxy, most people did not have hope for a ridiculous super hero like ant man. However, I have heard of ant man and knew his role in the Marvel Universe. I was absolutely pumped for this movie, like age of ultron pumped.
After seeing it, it exceeded my expectations. Not regarding story, the cgi and special fx were amazing. The humor was on point, just as a marvel movie should be but even better. The movie started out great, and as it went on it got even better.
It was filled with Easter eggs and references that provided awesome fan hints as well as staying relevant to the plot of the movie. I cannot explain how the story was amazing and each scene kept me interested.
The flashbacks were awesome. Also the heavy references to the avengers and the actual scene with falcon at the new avengers base after age of ultron sealed he 5 star deal for me. But what also did it was the end and mid credit scenes.
The mid credits scene shows the wasp costume, which I was not expecting (I'd rather want a Spider-Man scene) but still very cool. The end credits scene however, shows captain America and falcon intergotating winter soldier.
And then further referencing ant man becoming an avenger. Overall, awesome movie and defiantly shows that marvel is on the right track and will not flop like everyone thinks they will. And the action sequences ugh.
Okay I'll stop talking. Let's just say the MCU has a very very very bright future.
