Ant-Man is a dramatic show of what Marvel can do with a small fraction of it's resources under the right reigns (even if those reigns were given to Peyton Reed). Meant as a small follow-up to Age of Ultron to clear up a bit of summer box-office, Ant-Man proved that it could pack just as much comedy and just as much action as Iron-Man, while remaining substantially more original.
