Another Year tells the story of a couple whom are very comfortable with their lives and their interactions with family and friends, some of which are still struggling to figure out where they belong. The film is segragated into four seasons and we follow the relationships over the course of the year.
As always, Leigh's screenplay really istop-notch. He balances the joy, dispair and humor of life perfectly. Broadbent and Manville are fantastic; I never doubted they have been happily together for years.
Maybe nit top notch Leigh, but still another strong film by Leigh.
