It's been a while since the first movie, but this was not linked whatsoever, watcheable on its own. Nicely done simple crime thriller... the law clearly has its limitations, I can imagine how much its been exploited and bent by the rich and powerful.
A good watch overall, shows how a good combo of acting and directing can go a long way, compared to fancy schmancy nothings.
