Synopsis and trailer are misleading. The woman spends the entire movie creeping awkwardly around the man who's life she ruined and feeling sorry for herself. Her "aspirations to explore the cosmos" do not extend beyond lying on the floor staring at a poster of the Pillars of Creation.
She *wins a contest* to become "accepted into MIT's astrophysics program." The movie ends right after something interesting FINALLY happens.
