Review of Another Earth (2011) by Rex B — 04 Mar 2012
Interesting premise, if not almost completely stupid and implausible. But the focus of this movie is less on the notion of an earth and moon visible in our skies as it is a character study of a promising future gone horribly wrong for a young woman and the tragedy she brings upon an innocent family.
Through her process of trying to "fix" the damage she caused, she writes an essay for a contest to be one of the lucky travelers to Earth 2. If you get through the first 30 minutes of the movie, it has some good elements.
I didn't hate this movie. Some of it annoyed me, but the ending was clever.
