Review of Another Earth (2011) by Ian O — 03 Apr 2012
This movie poses a slew of questions, none of which are ever answered, (and that's fine), but what it lacks in finality it makes up for with its indie ingenuity. For some "Another Earth" may come off as a tad bit pretentious, but that's to be expected when one, such as Cahill, rewrites the rules of the science fiction genre.
Additionally, Brit Marling is terrific, easily one 2011's breakout stars. I left wanting to like "Another Earth" more, but the story's limited reach left me feeling unfulfilled.
