Review of Another Earth (2011) by Shaun J — 21 May 2014
Wow...it pulls on the heart-strings almost as much as it confounds the mind. In a good way of course! Another Earth asks a lot of questions: about redemption, about forgiveness, and about hope. It successfully conveys its metaphors through its clever dialogue (delivered by a talented, believable cast), and throughout an engaging, though occasionally slow or lugubrious, plot line.
Great ending too. Dang budget constraints; I want to know more about the second earth! With better resources, I'd be thrilled to see director Cahill's newest works.
