Review of Another Earth (2011) by Directors C — 24 Jan 2012

I saw this movie months ago, and it still sticks with me. I can kind of see how the negative reviews may have felt jerked around by the premise or the plot twists, but if you go to them with an open mind they will take you somewhere wonderful, and it will have a lasting impact on how you see the world.

This and Melancholia were my two favorite films of 2011, so maybe I just have a fetish for approaching planet movies--but maybe they're also both wonderful films.
