Review of Another Cinderella Story (2008) by Yasmine L — 19 Oct 2009

I was seriously bored when I watched this movie, and even then my boredom was never completely satisfied. Selena Gomez is much more a decent actor than say, Miley Cyrus or another of the Disney troupe, but ultimately her little girl voice and the fact that Disney is no longer what it used to be, really spoils everything.

Nowadays, Disney pumps out cheesy flicks like cheap candy corn - horrible manufactured and acrid tastes mixed in with poor and unemotional story lines, and forgettable actors and actresses who can only make one face.

The other problem is that this new gang who is creating these Disney movies have no imagination at all. Instead of creating new masterpieces they pollute the names of others. Cinderella was fine by itself but Selena Gomez does not have the same beauty or grace as the original. Her 'evil sisters' and 'stepmother' are absolutely horrible, tacky, and gross. Yes, they are ugly, but the originals had that cruelty these girls lack. Seriously.

All in all the movie is lacking and is nothing new or better. It's a good try, but it's not working. Sorry.
