Review of Anonymous (2011) by Elizabeth R — 06 Feb 2012
Anonymous tells a controversial story which is sure to get heads turning & eyeballs rolling. It defies everything that you have learnt about the most celebretated author in English Language, William Shakespeare. The movie starts at a languid pace and like any other Roland Emmerich movie, you will be immersed in an envelope of chaos not knowing where the plot is leading to. But if you manage to keep yourself glued to your chair for that taxing first quarter, you are in for a treat. Brace yourself for one of the most gripping melo drama of 2012. Anonymous is brilliant in keep you engaged, catering to every facet of human emotion while educating you at the same time. From the execution of the plot to the background music everything has been poised seamlessly without one getting in the way of the other.
A period based movie is always difficult to act in but each and everyone of the cast delivers effortlessly.
If you have a proclivity for drama, anonymous is definitely up your alley.
