Review of Anonymous (2011) by Jevon J — 12 Feb 2012
Why people are taking this anything other than entertainment, I'm not sure. It's a wonderful movie, probably one of the most important movies of 2011 as far as directing, cgi for historical settings, acting, and certain scenes of the cinematography.
It's basically a play on a Shakespearean play, with all the twists of fate that bestow agony upon the hero. It achieves what every Shakespearean play achieves. I'm sure many people's judgement upon the film has been based on "is there proof for this conspiracy or not.
" And those people have missed the mark, they've simply missed the entire film in itself. The film is in itself is a satire of itself. It ridicules the conspirer and the conspiracist.
