Review of Anonymous (2011) by Aaron H — 18 Feb 2012
To the reviewers slamming this movie because it presents an alternative theory of the authorship of the plays historically credited to Shakespeare, just remember, there is more evidence of de Vere as an excellent writer than there is of Shakespeare ever writing anything, other than a will that is noted for its immaturity (and makes no mention of any "works"), and an epitaph, which is equally insipid.
Do some due diligence before you embarrass yourselves in the eyes of the scholars of the history of Shakespeare, or rather, lack thereof.
And of those who could not consider a viable alternative theory and could not get passed that to write an accurate review, well, the movie was well acted, had great scenery, and was exciting to watch.
I give this movie four stars, or two thumbs up.
