Review of Anomalisa (2015) by William M — 15 Dec 2015
The puppetry and the cinematography are absolutely fantastic. There are some very human emotions on screen, I found myself constantly forgetting I was watching something that wasn't life-sized.
Despite these achievements, I didn't care for the story or the resolution of the moral of the story (if you can definitively identify one). I found the setting to be commonly boring, the love story lacked investment, and it never hit a deep Charlie Kaufman complexity that I have come to expect.
