For a movie with only puppets for a cast, Anamolisa is very much a human drama about love, loneliness, sadness... And more sadness. Did I mention the movie is very sad. It's written and directed Charlie Kaufman who brought you other sad movies like Being John Malkovich, Eternal Sunshine on the Spotless Mind, and Adaptation.

Verdict: If you like ambitious, art house movies that doesn't skimp on melancholy and despair... Then Anamolisa might be the film for you. There's also puppets fucking... So don't bring your kids.
