Review of Anomalisa (2015) by Jonathan B — 28 Jan 2016
Another unique creation from the mind of Charlie Kaufman, highlighted by strong animation and voice performances. Its examination of loneliness and the mundanity of everyday existence is nothing new for Kaufman, and the ambition and depth of his most well known works is largely missing.
(It's not hard to feel Anomolisa is based on a radio play he did a decade ago.) Still, well worth checking out for fans of his work or inventive animation in general.
