This is everything you'd expect an animated movie by Charlie Kaufman to be, meaning that it is high-concept with low payoff. I don't believe that there is any other artist who has so much self-loathing and the desire to put all of that self-loathing on display for everyone to see.

Maybe it's because I'm not a nihilist, but I really don't understand how anyone can find any enjoyment from watching something like this, let alone multiple times. Seriously, someone needs to get Kaufman on some meds so that he can see that there is more to life than narcissistic self-loathing.
