Just the saddest fucking film, filmed with stop motion animated puppets (and decidedly not for kids, there's puppet sex!!) Anomalisa is a truly beautifully crafted, delicate work of art about disconnection, existential dread and loneliness in a desolate modern world where nothing is real or authentic anymore and human interaction is an awkward stage play.
It's funny, weird, tender and devastating.
