Anomalisa's writing is about as complex and deep as its stellar animation. Charlie Kaufman continues to one-up himself with every film he makes. He proves once more that he's more than capable of directing and writing.

I can't even begin to fathom how they managed to blend the animation, writing, and direction into one gorgeously crafted maze of love and life and humanity. It might sound like pure lunacy but Anomalisa is the most human film of the year.
