Review of Annihilation (2018) by Joel H — 24 May 2018
Aside from the stunning visual effects and one horrifying scene, Annihilation isn't worth your time. The actors all seem as if they are sedated, and this film kind of functions as a sedative as well.
The interesting moments are overshadowed by an intentionally confusing and pretentious plot. I hate to say it, but this sci-fi experiment is a failure.
