Review of Annihilation (2018) by Andrey B — 29 Sep 2018
A highly predictable postmodernist tale made for postmodernists: confusion and disorder are welcome. And it's very boring since they actually would like this prism, shimmer, to be a reality to let loose all the DNA, to mix everything, everything's a social construct, right? You don't feel any hostility from this 'invasion', it's presented like a next step; not to mention the full diversity of this movie.
But on a serious note, if you want to watch something really mentally challenging you better watch 'Stalker' and 'Invasion of the body snatchers'.
