Review of Annie (2014) by Heather B — 03 Jan 2015

So glad I ignored critics and saw this movie. It was charming, sweet, fun and smart. My son and I loved the music and the message. Unfortunately any film that presents innocence and joy will take a beating from those in our cynical society.

The little girl in the movie does a wonderful job as do others. I applaud the makers of this film for daring to update a classic to match society today -- including those of us who take to theaters for a pleasant escape instead of an action packed violent roller coaster ride.
