The story was good, and the actors did well in portraying their characters. The song lead-ins (i.e. "I think I'm going to like it here") and disjointed choreography make for a lackluster musical in which only a handful of songs and no dance numbers are remembered.
Also, does every song really need orchestral hits? Really? Otherwise, not a bad movie (but not a great musical).
