Review of Annie (2014) by Aaliyah G — 01 Feb 2015
This remake on a lovable classic had the potential to be a more modern commentary on the social issues in our society. This potential is increased by a very enjoyable cast, but, unfortunately, none of this potential is realized.
A host of clichés, combined with an overbearing necessity for "cuteness" demote the film from a thoughtful social commentary to little more than a cliché children's movie.
