I disagree completely with most of the negative reviews of Annie. As a child I was obsessed with the movie and the musical. I watched it practically everyday. As an adult, I still love the entire movie: the plot line, the subtle hints of romanticism, the musical numbers, and the dance routines.
This movie is a perfect family movie aside from the foul language towards the end. And I am still captured by Ann Reinking's portrayal of Grace Farrell--superb job. Burnett and Peters also shine spectacularly in this movie.
5 stars for sure.
