Review of Annie (1982) by The Critic ( — 07 Apr 2012
Carol Burnett is outstanding and it's no surprise that this overlong (by about half-and-hour) screen adaptation of the beloved Broadway musical is at its best when set within the confines of the orphanage.
The film mightn't be as good as it should be, but is generally likable with convincing performances across the board.
