Review of Annie (1982) by Monzi S — 12 Nov 2010
Annie is simply one of the best musicals there is; if you can't like Annie, than you've got a heart made of stone. The songs are catchy and Aileen Quinn who plays Annie is a young star. Annie is loveable and the story is poignant and captivating. The cast is brilliant, especially Tim Curry and Carol Burnette, who really is hilarious as the cruel Miss Hannigan. Literally Miss Hannigan adds comedy to the film. Annie is impossible to dislike. Annie will always remain my favourite childhood musical.
Grade: A*.
