Ya never have to worry about Barbie, G.I. Joe, or Power Rangers Zord or Ranger figures getting possessed!

ANNABELLE: Creation.

At about 2 hours long, it does a good job of establishing the initial tragic event that catalyzed the later events early, & letting the audience discover along side the characters the situation they're in as it happens. The strange events don't take forever to happen, & the tension as you watch builds at a nice pace.

The characters are straight out've a Greek tragedy: a couple who lost their daughter, & in trying to get her back, got sucked into their own personnel hell; a group of orphaned girls, each one with their own baggage, & a young nun who feels like she's in over her head, but keeps it together for her charges' sake. They all feel very human, while embodying various archetypes I've seen in other stories. The adult actors convey their emotions without over acting, & the kid actors do a very good job, I really hope they continue their careers.

The effects are minimalistic, & are amazing!!! They rely almost totally on atmosphere, & it really helped the suspense, you just felt like you were being watched as you were watching. And when it all came to a head, I a strong urge to run.

The music did well making you feel uneasy, I felt like my teeth itched.

Like the Ouija franchise, Annabelle: Creation is a vast improvement on the original Annabelle, it's dark, creepy, full of pathos, & connects to the original in an interesting way. I'm giving it 3 & 3/4 stars out've 5.
