Review of Annabelle: Creation (2017) by Ethan A — 13 Aug 2017
After the raging dumpster fire that was the first Annabelle film, I'm pleased, and genuinely surprised, at how effective Annabelle:Creation is. Relys far heavier on mood than cheap gimmicky scares, good performances, and a sweet little tie-in back to The Conjuring series; this is the rare prequel to a spin-off that really works.
