Review of Annabelle: Creation (2017) by David W — 10 Aug 2017

Going in with low expectations, I came out decently surprised! While I was not a huge fan of the first origin film of the doll, Annabelle, this one was surprisingly refreshing. The atmosphere created in this film along with great performances and good scares is what makes a horror movie, and this one delivered. Usually with this genre you get cheap jump scares along with cheesy dialogue and a predictable plot, but with this one was not the case. While some of the scared were a little predictable and corny, most of them were very original and effective. As of now this is director Sandberg's (director of lights out) best work!
