Give me Chucky over this crap any day. Annabelle is NOT scary and relies heavily on belief in the occult. If you ask me, the mystery behind the killer doll is one of the things that usually makes these kind of romps work.
.. they try way to hard to explain way too much. And there isn't really any satisfying pay off.
