Stories like Anna Kerenina shoud take you in a passion filled imaginary world where imperial Russia should be evoked by magnificent settings not in a one room theathre-scene, which I found almost claustrophobic.
The plot is confusing and and expected so much from the characters, but the depth was not there.
Disney's Anastasia would make you feel more of the Russian world than this movie which sadly fails.
