Review of Anna Karenina (2012) by Nick D — 15 Mar 2013
Beautiful, but untenable for me, due primarily to the preposterous casting of Johnson as Vronsky. He looks more like Tadzio in Death in Venice. Pretty. Vapid. Not Vronsky. Which undercuts the whole story.
Plus, I got verily sick of the gimmicky theatre set business. Enough!
