Review of Anna Karenina (2012) by Helen T — 25 Mar 2013
This film is perhaps the most gorgeous looking film I've seen in a while. You literally are pulled into this world and it's breathtaking. The symbolism and imagery littered throughout offer subtle, yet powerful messages, and the characters are easy to latch on to.
While the plot may be slightly tedious, it's made okay by the heartfelt performances of Keithley and Law as well as the beautiful setting that surrounds them. Just watch the first ball scene which portrays the entire film perfectly.
