Review of Anna Karenina (2012) by Kate D — 12 Jan 2014
A stylish new take on Tolstoy's brilliant book. Director Joe Wright has taken an ingenious turn on the classics; he brings them to life, and then even more beautifully, onto film. Not only is the story excellent, but Keira Knightley's and Jude Law's fantastic performances bring more pleasure to this one.
It sometimes gets lost too much into the stylization and surrealism, but Wright's "Anna Karenina" is a powerful, fascinating drama.
