Review of Anna Karenina (2012) by Hillary D — 04 Feb 2014
All the world's a stage in Joe Wright's exquisitely stylized adaptation. There are some nice performances, although the leads are somewhat outshone by supporting cast at times, but this film thrives on the direction and beautiful set design.
It perhaps doesn't quite delve as deep into the themes of the classic novel, but it's by no means a bore.
