Review of Anna Karenina (2012) by N S — 29 Dec 2013
First time seeing a Joe Wright film and might I say was delighted. Granted was never much into the Tolstoy story, but can't fault him for that. He has an obvious style of his own and I looooved it. The choreography of scenes, of dialogue, of action left me tickled. The scenes on stage were beautiful and something new for me that I was drawn into. And he showcases the subtleties of body language and consequently made me feel more aware of that kind of communication I sometimes forget how much of an impact it has over the spoken word. DElightedddddd.
Costumes gorgeous. Acting perfect.
