Review of Anita (2013) by Nathan M — 27 Dec 2014
What an interesting person with a tragic and interesting life, but what a boring way to take us on the journey. Apart from the charismatic and fascinating story of Anita Hill's life, there's not much in Anita: Speaking Truth to Power that's very fascinating.
It plays like a made-for-History Channel documentary that relies too heavily on the story to carry the weight of the film. The delivery of the facts in the case are pretty straight forward, so about halfway into the film you're pretty done with the story.
There's not enough investigation into the person of Anita Hill, so I didn't care as much as I should.
