All I have to say is, WOW! Thriller, desire, and Eva Amurri, it doesn't get any better than this (wink). I recently had the opportunity to screen the independent film Animals directed by Arnold Cassius starring Marc Blucas ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer", Summer Catch), Naveen Andrews ("Lost", The English Patient), Nicki Aycox ("Cold Case", A Perfect Stranger), Andy Comeau ("House") and Eva Amurri ("Californication").

Despite the well known cast, Animals is sexy, seductive, and sure to scare. Jarrett (Marc Blucas) and Nora (Nicki Aycox) are bound by blood after a steamy love affair leaves Jarrett wanting more. Besides lusting after the blonde bombshell Nora, Jarrett is faced with increasing animal instincts, which heighten his senses and his ultimate desire to fight. His new found love has brought him face to face with danger as Jarrett is introduced to Vic (Naveen Andrews) who has come to fight for what he deems as his territory, Nora. Vic is unwilling to accept that Nora has had intimate encounters with another man and vows to kill Jarrett because of it.

This indie flick has many attributes including an intriguing story line, intertwining plot, intensity, and risky action scenarios. Not to mention the star-studded cast featuring starlet Eva Amurri who won a Young Artist Award for her role in The Banger Sisters. Amurri is also known for her role as Jackie in the HBO series "Californication" starring David Duchovny. "Californication" is currently one of my favorite television series, therefore, leaving me eager to watch Amurri in another feature film. The sexy Naveen Andrews known for his role as Sayid Jarrah in the ABC series "Lost", stars as Vic (the dark sexy villain). Andrews gives an amazing performance as the movie's antagonist and animalistic killer.

If you are into hot blondes, intense love scenes, horror, and Werewolves then I highly recommend checking out Animals on DVD June 15, 2010. Buy it, Rent it, or Queue it up!
